Insecticide MUSCALURE-L MAX
Insect egg and larvae control in livestock premises
LONG-LASTING ODORLESS WATER-BASED SUSPENSION. NON-TOXIC (L50>5000 mg/kg).
Application:
The insecticide is used to eliminate larvae of flies, mosquitoes, beetles, cockroaches, fleas and other insects at livestock and poultry facilities, non-natural water sources, feed kitchens, dispensaries, insulators and in other premises at facilities of veterinary supervision.
Composition:
MUSCALURE-L MAX contains 250 mg of triflumuron as an active substance.
Functional activity:
The product belongs to the group of the inhibitors of chitin synthesis. Inhibitors of chitin synthesis, along with analogues of juvenile hormone and larval hormone, are included in the general group of substances regulating the development of insects.
Triflumuron, the active ingredient of the drug, is a highly active compound that inhibits chitin biosynthesis. It has an ovicidal and larvicidal effect, as well as a sterilizing effect on imago of flies, mosquitoes, beetles, cockroaches, fleas and other arthropods. Getting into the insects's body, insecticide disrupts chitin synthesis. As a result, the connection between the endo- and exocuticle is weakened: the cuticle becomes fragmented and the insect cannot normally complete the pupation process. The insecticide also causes molting disorders, which lead to the formation of intermediate abnormal forms, pigmentation disorders. The absence of pupae also indicates on the performance of the insecticide. Triflumuron has an ovicidal effect, including when ingested by imago. It supresses the synthesis of chitin by embryos, which leads to their inability to hatch from an egg or to abnormal development. Egg death occurs within 2-3 days, larvae die within 4-5 days.
Reoccurring pupae appearance indicates that the insecticide is no longer active and the treatment should be repeated. The optimal interval between initial treatments is 2-3 weeks and then increases to 4-8 weeks, depending on the degree of occupancy of the substrate, the thickness of the waste layer, the depth of the cesspools, the number of preimaginal forms
In the recommended concentrations, the insecticid agent does not have local irritating and sensitizing effects. Toxic to aquatic organisms, bees and other beneficial insects.
Usage:
Preparation of working suspensions of the product does not associated with dust formation and may be carried out in any premises using containers made of metal, glass, plastic.
Before use, the product must be thoroughly shaken until a homogeneous suspension is obtained. Working suspensions are prepared by adding the product to water, then thoroughly mixed.
Flies control (preimaginal forms): to eliminate the eggs and larvae of flies developing in the substrate, the places of their hatching are treated with 1-2 ml of the product per 1 m2. When spraying, the flow rate of the working suspension (prepared as 10-20 ml of the product per 1 liter of water depending on the degree of insect spread) is 100 ml per 1 m2. If the treated surfaces (for example, soil) are dry, it is recommended to pre-moisten them with water from a hose or increase the flow rate of the working suspension per square meter while maintaining the consumption of the product, i.e. prepare any required volume of working suspension based on the ratio of 1-2 ml of the product per 1 m2. Example: to treat a dry surface of 300 m2 without pre-moistening (for example, dry soil contaminated with organic waste and with fly breeding sites), prepare a working suspension based on the consumption of 250 ml (i.e. more than the recommended consumption of 100 ml/ m2) of a working suspension per 1 m2, for which 300 ml of the product is added to 75 l of water (250 ml / m2 x 300 m2), then mix and use working solution.
It is also possible to use watering can and other similar large-drop methods of insecticide application, increasing the volume of the working suspension, but maintaining the consumption of insecticide per m2. For example, to treat 500 m2 room with a knapsack sprayer, add 0.5–1 liters of insecticide to 50 liters of water, mix and spray. To perfom treatment with a watering can, add 0.5–1 liters of insecticide to 250-500 liters of water, mix and pour with a watering can or a hose with a shower nozzle (using a pump).
Before insecticide has an effect, adult flies continue to appear from the breeding sites, since the process of their development began before the treatment. It is recommended to use products with an effect on adult insects simultaneously with MUSCALURE-L MAX, for example, the products CYFLUBAG, MUSCALURE DELTA, DELFORT, MUSCALURE and DELTABAG 50 are fully compatible with this product. The next treatments are carried out after 2 weeks (after the 3rd and 4th treatments, the interval can be increased to 3 weeks) or when pupae appear in the substrate or at the reoccurring of imago. The working suspension of the product should be used within two days. If the treatment process has been suspended for more than 30 minutes, the suspension should be re-mixed before use.
When processing cesspools and other similar areas, the consumption is 8 ml of the product during the initial treatment of 1000 liters of manure and 4 ml of the product per 1000 liters of manure during subsequent treatments. The working suspension is prepared as 10 liters of working suspension per 1000 liters of manure. Calculation example: for the initial treatment of 2000 liters of manure, 20 liters of working suspension is needed, i.e. 16 ml of the product is added to 20 liters of water, mixed and applied to the cesspool. Calculation example: for the re–treatment of 250 liters of manure, 2.5 liters of working suspension is needed, i.e. 1 ml of the product is added to 2.5 liters of water, mixed and applied to the cesspool.
It is allowed to calculate the consumption based on the area of the treated object with manure and its estimated depth (thickness). The working suspension is prepared as 0.8 ml of the insecticide per 1 liter of water during initial treatment and 0.4 ml of the insecticide per 1 liter of water during subsequent treatments. With a manure layer thickness of up to 50 cm, the flow rate of the working suspension is 5 l / m2, when processing latrines with a depth of 1-5 m, the flow rate is increased proportionally by 2-10 times. Calculation example: for the initial treatment of a 10 m2 cesspool and an estimated depth of 1 m, 10 l / m2 x 10 m2 = 100 l of working suspension is required, or 80 ml of the product must be added to 100 liters of water, mixed and applied to the cesspool.
The death of eggs in the treated substrate occurs within 2-3 days as a result of the embryogenesis disruption. At least 95% of larvae dies within 4-5 days as a result of molting abberation and disruption of chitin formation (pupation does not occur and no emergence of new flyes is happened). Until this moment, adult insects continue to appear from the breeding sites, since the process of imago formation began before the treatment with the insecticide. It is recommended to use products with an effect on adult insects simultaneously with CYFLUBAG, MUSCALURE DELTA, DELFORT, MUSCALURE and DELTABAG 50 are fully compatible with this product.
The next treatments are carried out after 2 weeks (after the 3rd and 4th treatments, the interval can be increased to 3 weeks) or when pupae appear in the substrate or at the reoccurring of imago.
Mosquitoes control (preimaginal forms): to eleminate eggs and larvae of mosquitoes developing in the water of reservoirs that are not used for commercial fishing purposes, prepare working suspension base on 0.5 liters of the product per 10 liters of water per 1 ha of the reservoir area.
The insecticide effect is observed no earlier than after 2-4 days. At this moment, the ratio of larvae with molting disorders reaches at least 90% of total amount and the formation of pupae does not occur.
Reoccurring pupae and imago appearance indicates that the insecticide is no longer active and the treatment should be repeated. Initial treatments are carried out at intervals of 2-3 weeks. Then interval is increased to 4 or more weeks, depending on the type of reservoir and the density of its population.
Control of beetles, including the black beetle (preimaginal forms): to eliminate eggs and larvae developing in the substrate, the places of their hatching (for example, the premises of poultry houses) are treated with a working suspension of the product prepared as 1-2 liters of the product (depending on the degree of presence of beetles on the object) per 100 liters of water per 1000 m2 of treated area. When spraying, the consumption of the working suspension is 100 ml per 1 m2. It is possible to use a watering can and other similar large-drop methods of application, providing increase in the volume of the working suspension but maintaining the consumption of insecticide per square meter. For example, to treat a 500 m2 room with a knapsack sprayer, add 0.5–1 liters of the insecticide to 50 liters of water, mix and spray. To spread insecticide with a watering can, add 0.5–1 liters of the product to 250-500 liters of water, mix and pour the entire area. Before insecticide has an effect, adult insects continue to appear from the breeding sites, since the process of their development began before the treatment.
Before the treatment with the insecticide remove animals from the premises, as well as the remains of feed, water and dairy equipment. Milking equipment is covered with plastic wrap, eggs are collected in poultry houses.
When the treated surfaces becomes completely dry, animals may be returned to the room.
Do not treat feeders and drinkers, surfaces that may contact with food, as well as surfaces that animals can lick.
The insecticide is compatible with the disinfectant UNIDEZ-1 with preservation of stability and activity, which allows to prepare a working suspension containing both agents.
