  • Short withdrawal period for milk

  • Stress- and pain-free treatment

Therapeutic indications:

The drug is used for the treatment of inflammatory processes in the uterus; as well as after cesarean section, in the case of assisted parturition and surgical removal of placenta in cows.

Composition of the veterinary drug:

100 ml of the drug contains:

 • 1 g of  tylosin tartrate

 • 0.005 g of carbachol

 • 0.04 g of beta-carotene

Pharmacological activity:

The drug has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity; facilitates the restoration of contractile function and regeneration of uterine mucosa in cows with endometritis.

Tylosin is the active substance of the drug with bacteriostatic effect.  Tylosin acts against most gram-positive and some gram-negative microorganisms, including: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Actinomycеs spp., Pasteurella spp. and etc. Also tylosin is highly effective against Mycoplasma spp., Chlamidia spp. и Ureplasma spp.

The mechanism of action of tylosin is based on the inhibition of protein synthesis in the microbial cell by suppressing the enzyme translocase.

Beta-carotene has antioxidant characteristics through the fixation of active oxygen; beta-carotene inhibits free radical chain reactions and protects macromolecules and cell biomembranes from damage, thus ensuring the increase of the body's resistance to various pathogenic influences. Beta-carotene activates metabolism, promotes endometrial regeneration, and prevents placenta retention.

Carbachol increases tonus and enhances muscles contraction of the uterus.

The active substances of the drug in small quantities penetrate from the uterine cavity into organs, tissues and body fluids.  These active substances are excreted from the body of animals mainly with exudate during uterus contractions.

Dosage:

For the treatment of postpartum endometritis, the drug is administered in uterus at a dose of 50-60 ml of the drug per animal, using Janet's syringe, with an interval of 48 hours, until the affected cows completely recover.

For the treatment of chronic endometritis, the drug is administered in uterus at a dose of 40-50 ml of the drug per animal, with an interval of 48 hours within 6-8 days.

For uterine lavage, the drug is administered in uterus at a dose of 15-20 ml of the drug per animal, 12-24 hours after artificial insemination.
