Delfort

Insecticide and acaricide agent DELFORT

Treatment of premises against ticks, cockroaches, flies, midges and other insects

  • Insecticidal and acaricidal effect

  • Treatment of livestock buildings and adjacent areas

  • Lasts for 2.5-3 months

  • Effective against darkling beetles and chicken mites

  • Economical, long shelf life

Indications:

DELFORT is used to control cockroaches, ants, bugs, fleas, flies, mosquitoes, darkling beetles, red chicken mites, rat mites, and other insects when treating premises and adjacent areas at veterinary facilities in the absence of animals.

Composition of the insectoacaricide:

1 ml of DELFORT concentrate contains:

50 mg of deltametrin as an active substance.

Biological activity:

The active substance of the insectoacaricide product is deltametrin that has contact insecticidal and repellent properties. It is active against insects and mites, including zoophilic insects such as Haematobia irritans, Haematobia stimulans, Musca autumnalis, Stomoxys calcitrans, horseflies (Tabanidae), gadflies (Hypodermatidae), mosquitoes (Culicidae), and midges (Simuliidae), as well as cockroaches
and ants, darkling beetles, and red chicken mites.

The insecticidal acaricidal mechanism of action involves blocking the transmission of nerve impulses, which causes impaired coordination, paralysis, and death of insects. After treatment, the product remains on the surface and is virtually indestructible, ensuring its long-lasting insecticidal acaricidal action.

At recommended concentrations, the product does not have local irritant or sensitizing effects. It is toxic to fish and bees.

Usage:

The product has acute insecticidal acaricidal activity and a residual effect on insects for 2.5–3 months. Before treatment, it is recommended to mechanically clean and wash the area.

To kill crawling insects, use a working emulsion of the product, prepared at a rate of 30 ml per 10 liters of water, to treat 100 m² of porous and smooth surfaces at a rate of 10 and 5 liters, respectively.

To kill flying insects, use a working emulsion of the product, prepared at a rate of 15 ml per 10 liters of water, to treat 100 m² of porous and smooth surfaces at a rate of 10 and 5 liters, respectively.

The required volume of working emulsion is prepared immediately before use.

The consumption rate of the working emulsion may vary depending on the type of surface being treated: from 50 ml/m² (non-absorbent surfaces) to 100 ml/m² (absorbent surfaces).

Repeat treatments are carried out based on entomological indications (if insects appear).

To apply the working emulsion to surfaces, spraying or spraying equipment of various brands is used.

This product may interact with other insecticidal acaricidal agents, so combining it with other agents is not recommended, as this may reduce its effectiveness.

Personal safety measures:

When working with the product, observe personal hygiene and safety precautions required for working with insecticidal acaricidal products.

Personnel performing treatment and subsequent cleaning of treated areas or preparing working emulsions must wear protective clothing (gown, headscarf, rubber gloves, and goggles). Respirators and goggles are used to protect the respiratory tract and eyes when working with insecticidal acaricides.

During treatment, feed, food containers, and any products that could absorb the insecticidal acaricide are removed from the premises of veterinary facilities. Animals and unauthorized persons should not be present in the premises during the treatment.

All work (disinfestation and subsequent cleaning) is performed with the windows
(transparencies) open. After finishing work, the room is thoroughly ventilated for at least 2 hours until the odor disappears.

Remove the product from treated surfaces using a damp cloth, primarily from floors and surfaces that may come into contact with food. In areas not exposed to human or animal contact, leave the product on until it loses its effectiveness—2.5–3 months.

Empty containers of this product must not be used for household purposes; they must be disposed of with household waste.

Accidental contact and failure to observe precautions may result in accidental poisoning. At the first sign of illness, provide first aid to the victim: remove them from the room, remove contaminated clothing, rinse the mouth with a solution of baking soda (1/2 teaspoon per 1 cup of water) or boiled water.

If the product comes into contact with skin, carefully remove it with a cotton swab or clean cloth without rubbing, then wash with soap and water and apply a softening cream to the skin.

If the product accidentally comes into contact with the mucous membranes of the eyes, immediately rinse thoroughly with running water and apply sodium sulfacyl drops.

If accidentally swallowed, drink water with slightly pink potassium permanganate, then an adsorbent (10-15 tablets of activated charcoal per glass of water).

Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention (take the instructions for use or the label with you).

People with hypersensitivity to any of the product's components should avoid direct contact.

In case of accidental contact or allergic reactions, consult a medical professional (having the instructions for use or the product's label with you).

Storage conditions:

Store in a dry place at a temperature of 0 ºC to 40 ºC.

Shelf-life:

Shelf-life of the product under appropriate storage conditions is 3 years from the date of manufacture. After first opening the consumer packaging, the shelf life is 90 days, provided the storage conditions are met. The prepared working emulsion is usable within 24 hours.
