Therapeutic indications:

Multiplex is indicated for prevention of hypo- and avitaminosis and diseases caused by macro- and micronutrients deficiency; for immune stimulation, for reduction of the negative impact of stress factors, as well as a supportive therapy in the treatment of infectious and other diseases in animals.

Composition of the veterinary drug:

1 ml of Multiplex solution for injection contains:

  • Vitamin A 50 000 IU
  • Vitamin D3 25 000 IU
  • Vitamin E 4 mg 
  • Vitamin B1 10 mg
  • Vitamin B2 0.04 mg
  • Vitamin B6 2 mg
  • Vitamin B12 0.01 mg 
  • Dexpanthenol 2 mg
  • Ncotinic acid 5 mg
  • Magnesium 1 mg
  • Cobalt 0.02 mg
  • Copper 0.1 mg
  • Zinc 0.1 mg
  • Manganese 0.1 mg

Pharmacological activity:

The veterinary drug has a complex effect on the animal’s body, due to its active substances (vitamins and minerals), which have a synergistic effect.

The veterinary drug compensates vitamins, macro- and micronutrients deficiency in the animal’s body, improves metabolism, reduces impact of stress, and has a stimulating effect, which positively affects the health and mortality of young animals, productivity and fertility of adult animals.

Vitamins that contained in the veterinary drug are catalysts of metabolic processes and the most important biochemical reactions. Macro- and microelements of the drug are involved in the regulation of osmotic and acid-base balance, in the synthesis of hormones, enzymes and other compounds. Vitamin A regulates the function and regeneration of epithelial tissues, it is responsible for the synthesis of the visual pigment rhodopsin. Vitamin D3 is involved in the metabolism of calcium and phosphorus, has an anti-rickety effect. Vitamin E, being a strong antioxidant, regulates redox processes, protects cells from free radicals, and is also necessary for the proper functioning of the reproductive system. B vitamins affect the normalization of metabolism and the regulation of nervous processes.

Dosage:

The veterinary drug is administered by intramuscular injection in the following single doses:

  • cattle and horses – 0.5-1 ml /10 kg body weight (8-25 ml /1 animal);
  • calves and foals– 0.5-1 ml /10 kg body weight (4-10 ml /1 animal);
  • pregnant and lactating sows – 0.5-1 ml /10 kg body weight (25 ml /1 animal);
  • fattening pigs, sheep, goats– 0.5-1 ml /10 kg body weight (5-8 ml /1 animal);
  • piglets– 0.5-1 ml /10 kg body weight (1-2 ml /1 animal).

Before use heat the injection solution up to the body temperature of the animal.

If necessary, the drug is administered after 10-14 days in the same doses again.

Precautions and adverse reactions:

When using the drug in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications generally are not observed. In case of increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, allergic reactions (skin rash, erythema, itching) are possible. In this cases, the the drug is cancelled, if necessary antihistamines and symptomatic treatment are prescribed.

Do not use in animals which are known to have individual intolerance to some substances of the veterinary drug or hypervitaminosis of A, D3, E and excessive content of  drug micronutrients in the diet of animal.

Overdose of the veterinary drug can lead to hypervitaminosis of A and D3.

Do not mix with other veterinary drugs in the same syringe.

The peculiarities of the action of the drug during its first use are not identified.

Withdrawal period:

Milk and meat for human consumption may be taken without restrictions.

Storage conditions:

Store in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 2 °C to 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children.

Shelf-life:

Shelf-life of the veterinary drug under appropriate storage conditions is 18 months from the date of manufacture. Shelf-life after first opening: 14 days.
