Bromodil is used to control rats (gray, black and water), house mice, common voles in livestock premises and other objects of veterinary supervision. The product is a ready-to-use poisoned bait containing an anticoagulant poison applied on grains.
Composition of the rodenticide:
1 kg Bromodil poison bait contains:
Biological activity:
Bromadiolone, active substance of the preparation, is a derivative of oxycoumarin (the poisons-anticoagulants of the second generation), capable of accumulating in the liver and disrupting the synthesis of prothrombin, which leads to a decrease in blood clotting and increased permeability of blood vessels and, as a consequence, to massive bleeding and death of rodents.
Be careful! Derivatives of oxycoumarin are extremely dangerous to humans.
Usage:
Use rubber gloves and spoon to place the rodenticidal agent (the poison) in sealed containers (such as stationary bait stations, boxes and other special containers according to current legislation) in following amounts: 100 g for rats and 25 g for mice. Do not touch the product with bare hands. The poison is placed in rodent habitats: near burrows, on the paths of rodent movement, in corners, along walls and partitions, under furniture. The layout of bait points is chosen according to veterinary and sanitary rules for rodent control and other current legislation on deratization.
For every 100 m2, depending on the occupancy of the object by rodents, from 1 to 5 bait points are required. The distance between the points is 2-15 m, depending on the estimated number of rodents. Since the amount of the poison for mice is less than for rats, it is laid out more often, placing it over the entire area of the premises.
The condition of the spreaded baits is monitored after the first layout in 2 days, then once a week. Eaten portions are replaced with new ones, and untouched by rats or mice for more than a week are transferred to other places visited by rodents. A contaminated or spoiled product is replaced with a new one. The control and spreading of the product is stopped if it remains untouched everywhere for a long time (more than 4 weeks), which indicates on the elimination of rodents.
The rodenticidal agent can be left for a longer periods in those places that are favorable for the habitat and movement of rodents or in order to prevent the repopulation during periods of expected increase in the number of rodents. In this case, observations should be carried out at least 2 times a month.
Dead rodents are collected using forceps, protecting their hands with rubber gloves, put in special bags and burned in furnaces or buried in the ground to a depth of at least 0.5 meters with treatment with a 10% suspension of bleaching powder or a 5% solution of lysol.
The remaining product are collected for subsequent utilization in accordance with the procedure established by the current legislation. It is forbidden to throw the remaining funds into garbage collectors. All containers should not be used for other purposes, they should be destroyed in accordance with the procedure established by current legislation.
