Veterinary drug BAG-Gonadorelin
Therapeutic indications:
BAG-Gonadorelin is indicated for the control of reproduction cycle in cattle and dogs.
Composition of the veterinary drug:
1 ml BAG-Gonadorelin solution for injection contains:
Gonadorelin acetate 100 mkg as an active substance
Pharmacological activity:
Synthetic peptide gonadorelin acetate is an analog of endogenous gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). Similar to endogenous gonadotropin-releasing hormone, the gonadorelin induces formation and release of follicle-stimulating (FSH) and luteinizing (LH) hormones from the anterior pituitary, follicle growth and maturation, estrogen synthesis and secretion, induces ovulation and controls the function of the corpus luteum in ovaries.
Upon parenteral administration the half-life period of gonadorelin acetate is 8-10 minutes. The veterinary drug is rapidly metabolized in animal’s body and approximately 90% of gonadorelin acetate is excreted with urine.
The veterinary drug has been shown to be safe and does not have a sensitizing, embryotoxic and teratogenic effects.

Precautions and adverse reactions:
Do not use in animals which are known to be hypersensitive to drug's components. Do not use in combination with other hormonal drugs. Combined use with chorionic gonadotropin may lead to ovarian hyperstimulation. Combination therapy with follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) may lead to a synergistic effect.
When used according to the instructions, the veterinary drug doesn’t cause side effects and complications.
Do not use in animals which are weakened and are below medium weight, as well as which have not reached puberty, during pregnancy after a two-week period.
No overdose symptoms have been observed.
After the first administration as well as the cancellation of the drug, no peculiarities have been revealed.
Avoid missing the next dose of the drug, as it may lead to the reduced therapeutic effect. If administration of the veterinary drug is missed, resume it in the same dosage and according to the same treatment scheme.
Withdrawal period:
No withdrawal period for milk and meat.
Storage conditions:
Store in a dry, dark place at a temperature of +2 to +25 C. Keep out of reach of children.
Shelf-life:
Shelf-life of the veterinary drug under appropriate storage conditions is 2 years from the date of manufacture. Shelf-life after first opening: 28 days.
